MONTREAL, Canada (Donovan Bailey World Wide WebSite) -- Bruny Surin won the 100 meters in the Canadian track and field championships, beating Donovan Bailey with a time of 9.89 seconds.
Bailey was not far behind with a time of 9.93 seconds. His best time this season.
“I wanted to win, but it's not a big deal when you lose to your friend,” Bailey said. “I know that Bruny has it in him to break the
world record. He's probably the fastest guy in the world over 60 meters. All he's got to do is relax and bring it home.”
